The series premiered in the U.S. on March 13 and has already launched in Canada (Crave, USA Network), Australia (Stan), South Korea (LG Uplus), Hong Kong (Now TV), and Israel (DBS).
SPT will present Long Bright River at Series Mania, where it is competing in the festival’s international competition, on Tuesday.
Based on Liz Moore’s bestselling novel, the series follows a Philadelphia police officer (Seyfried) investigating a string of murders in a neighborhood hit hard by the opioid crisis. It is produced by SPT and UCP, with Nikki Toscano as showrunner and executive producer alongside Moore, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Amanda Lewis, and Amy Pascal. Hagar Ben-Asher directs and executive produces the first episode.
